PETER BRAND
Peter Brand lives in Sydney, Australia and is a keen student of the Earp/Tombstone
story. He has a particular interest in uncovering the lives of the men
who rode with Wyatt Earp on the so-called “Vendetta”, after the
attempted assassination of Virgil Earp, and the murder of Morgan Earp.
Peter’s well-researched articles on the Earp Vendetta riders have
appeared in the Western Outlaw Lawman Association Journal, the National
Outlaw Lawman Association Quarterly and True West magazine. He may be

JENNIFER LEWIS
Jennifer Lewis was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana and has a
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Ball State University. She
has been an over-the-road truck driver since 1995. Her interest in the
Old West came primarily from traveling the western states and taking in
the local cultures.

JEAN SMITH
Jean Smith was born and raised in Waverly, Iowa and moved to Arizona
after graduation from high school. She owns and operates a music store
and Radio Shack Franchise, while raising a family of 4 children. Jean
has a Business Administration degree & has been a genealogist for many
years.
After meeting Peter Brand from Australia in Tombstone, she became
interested in the Old West history & has helped him research the
articles he’s had published.
Jean is married to Chuck Smith, an Old West history buff also, and
together they spend many weekends in Tombstone and on research trips
around the country.

CHUCK SMITH
Chuck Smith is a transplant from Vermont to Arizona. He has lived in
Southeast Arizona (Safford) for the past 46 years. He has a degree in
Electronics Engineering Technology. Chuck has worked for the Phelps
Dodge copper mining industry for 33 years in Morenci, AZ, 2 years for
the Large Binocular Telescope (University of Arizona) on Mt Graham in
Safford, and is currently teaching Electronics and Electricity for
Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, AZ.
Chuck has always been interested in Old West History from childhood
days. He has spent many years as a genealogical researcher and then
moved into the historical research arena. He has authored two articles
for the National Outlaw Lawmens Association (NOLA) revealing new
information on Florentino (Cruz), a victim of the Earp Vendetta, and the
second article has groundbreaking information dealing with Graham County
AZ lawmen and their relationship with the Arizona Rangers.
Chuck is currently working on a biography of James V. Parks, who was
one of the most famous sheriffs of Graham County. |
